An idea of Rosco’s which will reduce the length of the PSD but also help coaches cover very early injuries, was to reduce the draft by a few picks and instead draft them at your leisure after the PSD up to a certain time.
One suggestion is “2 before R2″
– We could reduce the PSD by 2 picks so you’d only draft 21 players (instead of 23). Then you could freely draft 2 undrafted players anytime up until before HFFL R2 starts.
We had initially considered “3 before R3” (so 20 players post PSD) but the more players we allow to draft later, the more risk of undermining the strength of the MSD.
Don’t mind it.
Don’t mind it at all.
It would obviously still follow the draft order.
actually no. You could draft those players at ANY time up until the deadline.
eg in the “2 before R2″ idea, this Free agency period would start after the PSD and would end when HFFL R2 starts”
So that would be a free agency period of 11-12 days.
During this time you could draft your 2 players at any time. Draft order would not be relevant and would not apply.
Make sense?
