Please place all your trades here AND include any specific conditions if they exist.
All trades are subject to the Standard Injury Condition by default unless otherwise specified.
The Standard Injury Condition is that if a traded player is listed as injured in any way in an official AFL match report of AFL Round 9, either of the trading coaches can choose to dismiss the trade in its entirety by informing the Administrator of this decision.
However on dismissal, the coaches can of course choose to renegotiate the trade.
All coaches will have until Sunday 16th May 2300 AWST to choose to dismiss a trade based on the standard injury condition. This will be called the Injury Condition Deadline.
If neither trading coach chooses to dismiss the trade by this time, the trade will stand.
Subsequent trades of players/picks received in conditional trades are hereby disallowed until the trade becomes unconditional which is after the Injury Condition deadline (2300 Sunday).
i.e if you (in theory) receive a player or pick in a conditional trade, you may not on-trade that player or pick until after the Injury Condition Deadline.

Substitution Request Rules
There are 2 type of Sub Requests:
- Post Match Sub
- This is for subs required due to qualifying injury or late withdrawal.
- This must be submitted within 24hrs of the match completion. While it is generally submitted after the match is complete, it can be submitted earlier
- They will generally be enacted by Sub Master 24hrs after the end of the round (usually Monday night)
- Mid-Match Sub – during Partial Lockout
- This is occasionally required when The Bench inappropriately locks a player(s) during the partial lockout period before they have played (when they are actually eligible for change by the coach).
- Sub requests must be submitted before the AFL Clubs of the relevant players being subbed in or out have played.

The HFFL Conundrum
In my time away from the league I have considered my position within it intently. I have had many thoughts. However I decided before withdrawing permanently I should start a discussion within the group to see if we can collectively find solutions that might create a sustainable HFFL that may last the test of time. This is not the case currently and without change it will not last.
Why Everyone Loves the HFFL:
- It helps us keep in contact with close mates in a way that basically nothing else can/does at this stage of our lives.
- The competitive enjoyment and strategic playmaking within the greatest fantasy footy comp in existence, carefully cultivated over a long history.

EXTRACTOR

Findings:
- 10 of the Top 20 Extractors are not in the Top 20 Midfielders
- 6 of the Elite Extractors are not Elite Midfielders
Conclusion: As expected, the Extractor position rewards a specialised midfielder for their Clearance work in a way that is not generally rewarded in pure Midfield stats
HALF-FORWARD

Findings:
- 16 of the top 20 HF’s are not in the top 20 Forwards
Conclusion: The HF position is a unique position that rewards half forward flankers and a small number of dominant centre half forwards
RUCKMEN UTES

Findings:
6 of the top 20 utilities were ruckmen of which 4 were elites. However despite scoring highly ruckmen utes are less valuable than similar scoring non-ruck utes because:
- They are one dimensional without being multitalented in other positions so unlike non-ruck utes, do not improve team depth
- They are injury prone
- They rarely dominate year after year, evidenced by above
Conclusion:
- This is roughly in line with expectation, though slightly more than expected likely due to increased hit outs in 2017.
- However given above issues they do not appear to be too dominant and have increased the pool of available quality utes as expected.
HALF-BACKS

Findings:
- Only 4 of the top 20 HB’s were top 20 in any other position
- Hurley and Hibberd were named as All Australians showing the true value of this HFFL position
- As predicted when introduced, the Half-backs are identiical in scores and standard deviation to the forwards (comparing players ranked 2 to 20) – low scoring position with high standard deviation. Like forwards, this makes recruitment of a top player valuable since the scores drop off quickly but not too valuable because overall scores are still low
Conclusion
- In line with the prediction, the Half-backs are a unique position, rewarding previously unrecognised players.
- Half-backs are identical to forwards in scoring and standard deviation and recruiting decisions should be based on this
